Man, Wormrot really want you to hear their new shit, don't they? They already released one music video like two weeks ago, and they've made their entire new album Dirge available for free download (it's good, get it), and now they've gone and released another brand new music video, this time for the song "Erased Existence". If that name sounds familiar it's probably because it was actually the first song they released from the album, but everyone knows that everything sounds better when it's playing behind old war footage where shit's blowing up left and right. Check it out below.

Hellz yeah. Dirge is still set to come out in physical form on May 3rd via Earache Records, and I can think of way worse things to spend money on, so I still encourage all of you to go get it when it does. As per usual we'll post more cool things over the weekend if they happen, but otherwise have a fun, safe weekend everyone, see ya on Monday.

Two for one special: new vids from Protest the Hero & Wormrot
I was going to do two separate articles for these two videos, but then I got to thinking, why not be lazy and efficient? After all, this is 'MERICA! So just for you, we have two brand spanking new music videos from two bands that are both great, if for completely different reasons. First up, fresh off their newest release Scurrilous, we have mathcore maniacs Protest the Hero giving us the track "C'est la Vie". Everything sounds like Fortress 2, but that's not a bad thing at all. In fact, that's actually what most of us were secretly hoping for in the first place. There's not much else I can say, the shit pretty much speaks for itself, so here it is, courtesy of Metalsucks.

And next, all the way from good old, uh, Singapore, we are also very excited to announce the release of a new video from one of my favorite grindcore bands, Wormrot. Their last album, 2009's Abuse, was some of the most top quality grind my friends and I have ever heard, and with the release of their last couple of new songs, we felt confident that the new album was going to be just as good. Unfortunately we still have to wait until May 3rd to know for sure, but in the meantime the band have released the first official video from the album, for the song "Spot a Pathetic", and it's just as Wormrot-esque as the others. Obviously this is a good thing, so see for yourself below.

The live footage just reminds me that the Philly show for these guys on their upcoming tour is 21 and over, so I won't be able to go. Note to booking agents: just because someone's too young to drink doesn't mean they don't listen to the bands you're booking. There needs to be more all age shows, dammit! I'm almost 21 so this isn't going to be a problem for me much longer, but I promise you I'm not the only one, and there will always be more with the next generation. Take that to heart, people. That's all for tonight, be safe and stay brutal.
Yes, I know that's a contradiction, get over it.

Oh shit, it's Monday. Sorry about that whole not doing an end of the week thing, I'll (hopefully) remember to keep up with those in the future. But anyway, here's some good news to start the week. Remember those Asian dudes I can't seem to shut up about, Wormrot? Well earlier today they were kind enough to release a killer new song from their upcoming album Dirge, and it's quite possibly the best forty-five seconds of your life (except for that time you lost your virginity, BOOM!). Check out the link below to get yer grind on.

Wormrot update!
Remember last week when we announced that Wormrot are recording a new album? Well, earlier today Metalsucks provided us with not just one, not two, but THREE awesome new developments on that story. First of all, they've released a new track from the upcoming album Dirge, entitled "Manipulation", and it's just as good as anything from their last album. Check it out over yonder.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Pt3TojQ6g
Sweeeet. Anywho, the second update is that the album now has an official release date. Dirge is set to drop on May 3rd via Earache Records, and you can bet your ass I'll be on that shit when the time comes. And finally, according to the band's Myspace, they also have a string of US shows set up for March, including a performance at the Scion Rock Fest in Pomona, California (one more confirmation that Scion are totally into metal and thus are awesome), along with sick bands like Morbid Angel, Obituary, Fuck the Facts, Atheist, Bonded By Blood and more. If you live anywhere near the Pomona area, you better get your ass to that show, you lucky fucks. The rest of the dates on the mini-tour can be seen on Wormrot's profile. Ordinarily I would be distressed that there aren't any dates near me, but in their article Metalsucks also said that the band is planning a full US tour the following month, so hopefully they'll come closer to my neck of the woods then. I can be patient, and hopefully you can too, but rest assured we'll put the tour dates up as soon as they're announced.
That's all for this one folks, but stay tuned for more later on. Absolutely nothing happened yesterday, but a bunch of cool stuff came up today to make up for it. See you sooner than you think.

Also, Wormrot are working on a new album!
![]() |
| Uhhhhhhhhhh |
This makes me quite happy, I must say. Earlier this afternoon, Metal Injection announced that the Singapore grind machine Wormrot are entering the studio to begin working on their follow up to their uber-brutal 2009 album Abuse. In his statement vocalist Arif Rot said that they will be heading to the studio this month to record the album, which as of now is entitled Dirge. It is expected to be released this May via Earache Records, and you can be sure we'll cover it when it comes out. We'll have more on this as it develops, but until then we'll just have to make do with the video for their song "Born Stupid (A Little More Competition)", which proves once and for all just how metal elevators actually are.
