As of the past week or so, Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World has quickly become my favorite movie, possibly of all time. Or at least for right now. This movie has everything; the laughs are endless, the whole movie feels like somebody threw an old retro video game and a comic book into a blender and it came out as a movie, there's this (you're welcome), and best of all, in one part there's fucking grindcore!

Okay fine, so it's not actual grindcore like Napalm Death, Magrudergrind or Brutal Truth, but still, the song's less than five seconds long, and the lyrics (all two of them) convey an undeniable sense of frustration, anger and sadness. Y'know, in case the title didn't give that away. So what we have, ladies and germs, is grindcore, if only by definition. But hey, a rose by any other name, right? You can't say it isn't funny.
